477 Madison Avenue

Electrical Infrastructure Modernization

PowerCon has provided engineering design and commissioning services for the modernization of electrical infrastructure at 477 Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

Services included the design and commissioning of replacement service switchgear, transitioning the building from legacy Federal switchgear equipment to a modern electrical distribution system with improved reliability, maintainability, and operational flexibility. The project was executed within an occupied building and required careful phasing and coordination to maintain uninterrupted service.

Additional services included infrared thermographic studies, sub-metering design, electrical distribution upgrades, and development of updated riser documentation to reflect evolving tenant and base building systems.

PowerCon’s long-term involvement at the property has provided continuity and deep system knowledge, supporting both infrastructure upgrades and ongoing operational performance.
